The Opportunity Are you an economist who can navigate the complexities of global trade, analyze the nuances of market failure, and inspire the next generation of financial leaders and policy-makers? We are seeking a sharp-minded and engaging Economics Teacher to join a high-performing Social Sciences department in Newham . Located in the heart of East London’s regeneration zone, just minutes from the global financial engines of Canary Wharf and the City, this school provides a premier setting for an Economics specialist. We are looking for an educator who can bridge the gap between classroom theory and the fast-moving reality of the modern global economy. Core Responsibilities Pedagogical Excellence: Planning and delivering sophisticated, data-rich lessons across KS4 and KS5 , with a primary focus on A-Level Economics (AQA/Edexcel). Macro & Micro Mastery: Guiding students through the intricacies of supply and demand, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and the challenges of international development. Exam Mastery: Mentoring examination cohorts to secure top-tier results through rigorous practice of multiple-choice precision and extended response structuring. Extracurricular Advocacy: Leading initiatives such as the "Bank of England Target Two Point Zero" challenge, investment clubs, and university bridge programmes for aspiring PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) students.
