Job description
A highly regarded boarding school in Surrey is seeking an experienced and proactive Estates Manager to join their team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the management, maintenance, and development of the school’s extensive grounds and facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. About the School: The school is renowned for its academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care, and first-class boarding provision. With extensive grounds, historic buildings, and modern facilities, the school provides a safe, inspiring environment for learning, living, and personal development. The Estates Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing this environment. About the Role: Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of all school buildings and grounds Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Manage contractors, suppliers, and facilities staff efficiently Plan and implement long-term maintenance and development projects Monitor budgets, resources, and equipment to ensure cost-effective operations Collaborate closely with school leadership to support strategic planning and school development The Ideal Candidate Will: Have extensive experience in estate management, facilities management, or property operations, ideally within an educational or boarding school setting Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills Be proactive, flexible, and capable of managing multiple priorities across a large estate Have excellent communication and team management abilities Be committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality environment Why This Role?
