Job description
Facilities Assistant – Good Secondary School – Stockport (Greater Manchester) Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to join a Good secondary school in Stockport. This is an important role supporting the maintenance and day-to-day operation of the school site. The successful candidate will assist with ensuring that the school environment is safe, clean and well maintained. You will support the Site Manager with a range of duties including maintenance tasks, room setup and health and safety checks. This role requires practical skills, flexibility and a strong work ethic. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Good Ofsted Rated School in Stockport with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse community and is known for its supportive ethos. Students are respectful and motivated, contributing to a calm and purposeful environment. The school offers a broad curriculum and values the contribution of support staff. The facilities team plays a vital role in ensuring the school operates effectively. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with maintenance and repairs • Support site security and safety • Set up rooms and equipment • Maintain cleanliness and organisation • Carry out health and safety checks • Support the Site Manager Requirements: • Practical skills and maintenance experience • Knowledge of health and safety (desirable) • Strong organisational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Good communication skills • Flexible and reliable approach Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
