Job description
IT Technician – Outstanding Secondary School – Derby Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Technician to join an Outstanding secondary school in Derby. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology and supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidate will maintain the school’s IT systems, provide technical support and ensure that digital resources are used effectively across the school. You will play a key role in supporting both staff and students. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated School in Derby with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse and ambitious community and is known for its supportive ethos. Students are engaged and motivated, creating a positive learning environment. The school places strong emphasis on technology and innovation, with modern facilities and excellent support for staff development. Key Responsibilities: • Provide technical support to staff and students • Maintain hardware, software and networks • Support classroom technology • Manage user accounts and permissions • Assist with IT development projects • Ensure system security Requirements: • Relevant IT qualification or experience • Strong technical knowledge • Excellent problem-solving skills • Good communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience in a school setting (desirable) Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
