Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Girls’ PE to join its thriving Physical Education department. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist who is passionate about girls’ participation, wellbeing and achievement, and who wants to develop confident, resilient pupils through high-quality PE and school sport. About the Role As Teacher of Girls’ PE , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and curriculum offer. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Strong physical literacy, fitness and confidence for all ability levels High expectations for teamwork, effort and sportsmanship Secure knowledge of health, wellbeing and active lifestyles Competitive and recreational pathways that encourage long-term participation GCSE PE success through clear explanation, structured practice and exam technique You will also contribute to the wider sporting life of the school, including fixtures, clubs and enrichment activities, helping to build a positive culture of participation and achievement in girls’ sport. The PE Department The PE department is supportive, energetic and collaborative, with shared planning and a commitment to high standards. The team works together to deliver engaging lessons and a strong extra-curricular offer that encourages pupils to get involved, develop their skills and represent the school with pride.
