Job description
A well-regarded all-through school in Nottingham is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused SEN Administrator to join its supportive inclusion team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and who takes pride in ensuring that systems, records and communication around SEND provision are accurate, efficient and well managed. The SEN team plays a vital role in coordinating support, maintaining strong communication with families and professionals and helping ensure pupils receive the provision they need to succeed. About the Role As SEN Administrator , you will provide high-quality administrative support to the school’s SEND provision, working closely with the SENCO , pastoral staff, teachers, families and external agencies. You will help ensure that records, communication and processes linked to SEND are well organised, compliant and responsive to pupil need. Key responsibilities will include: Maintaining accurate SEND records, documentation and pupil information Supporting the administration of EHCPs, reviews and provision maps Coordinating meetings with families, staff and external professionals Preparing paperwork, reports and correspondence related to SEND support Helping track interventions, referrals and key actions across the provision process Liaising professionally with parents, carers and outside agencies Supporting compliance with statutory processes and school procedures Contributing to the smooth day-to-day organisation of the SEND and inclusion team This role requires strong organisation, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with care, discretion and professionalism. Key Information Location: Nottingham Start Date: ASAP / next term (or by agreement) Contract: Full-time, permanent (or as agreed) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience What the School is Looking For The successful candidate will ideally have: Experience in administration, SEND support or a similar school-based or child-centred role Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and a professional, supportive manner Confidence using IT systems, including spreadsheets and database-style systems Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries A calm, flexible and reliable approach to supporting a busy inclusion team School-based experience is desirable, but applications are also welcomed from candidates with strong transferable skills and a genuine interest in supporting inclusion and SEND provision.
