Job description
🌍 A Bit About Us We’re Doccla , and we’re redefining where and how healthcare is delivered. Our Virtual Ward and Remote Monitoring Solutions enable hospitals and health systems to care for patients at home. We support patients across the full care journey from early discharge and acute recovery to long-term condition management and proactive care. We provide everything clinicians need to deliver safe, effective Virtual Care: medical-grade devices, logistics, patient onboarding, EHR integration, and an end-to-end clinical platform built around real-world workflows. We currently work with over 60% of NHS ICBs and supporting health systems across the including UK, Ireland, France, and the DACH region to reduce hospital pressure, improve outcomes, and create a more resilient model of care. We’re backed by top European investors, having secured £35m in Series B funding led by Lakestar, with participation from Elaia, General Catalyst, Speedinvest, and Bertelsmann. 🚀 Why Join Us? This is your chance to join Doccla at a key stage in our growth . We’re building the category leader in Virtual Care and Remote Patient Monitoring. You’ll be part of a highly entrepreneurial, mission-driven team that combines expertise across clinical, technical, commercial, and operational domains. We’re solving real problems for patients and health systems and growing fast. 🧑⚕️ What You’ll Do as a Technical Program Manager You'll be the connective tissue across engineering and the wider business ensuring cross-team and cross-department work actually lands. This isn't a project management role with a clipboard; you'll need genuine technical depth to understand what teams are building, spot risks before they escalate, and earn the trust of the engineers you work alongside. You'll report to the VP Engineering and operate as one of their key delegation points, taking ownership of the complex, cross-cutting work that doesn't fit neatly into any single team. The bulk of your time will be spent: Managing cross-department dependencies tracking and unblocking work that spans engineering teams, IT, vendors, regulatory, and other departments. When something sits between teams, you own getting it unstuck and reported on. Driving engineering-wide initiatives from audit preparation and compliance coordination to hackdays and process improvement. You take the organising burden off engineering leadership and make things happen. Supporting audit and regulatory readiness coordinating engineering's contribution to MDR audits, non-conformity remediation, and compliance work. You don't need to be a regulatory expert, but you need to understand the technical implications and keep everything on track. Improving how engineering operates identifying process gaps, proposing concrete improvements, and driving them through to completion. You're not just flagging problems you're fixing them. Chasing down the unglamorous stuff vendor contracts and billing, infrastructure projects, cost management, IT dependencies. The work that falls between the cracks and makes everything else harder if nobody owns it. Keeping the VP Engineering informed providing clear, honest visibility into the state of cross-cutting work so leadership can make good decisions without needing to chase. ✅ What Experience You’ll Bring to the Team Proven experience in a Technical Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar role within a startup organisation you've coordinated complex, multi-team work and delivered it. Experience working across departments, not just within engineering you've navigated vendor management, IT, compliance, and business stakeholders to get things done. Enough technical depth to understand what engineering teams are building, follow architectural discussions, and ask the right questions when something doesn't add up. Experience supporting audit or regulatory processes in a compliance-heavy environment (healthcare, medical device, or fintech experience is a strong plus). A track record of improving processes you've identified what 💡 What We’re Looking For Someone who takes real ownership of cross-cutting problems you don't wait for someone to assign you work, you see what needs doing and pick it up. A natural connector you build relationships across departments and make cross-team collaboration easier for everyone, not harder. The ability to be technically credible with engineers while also communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders. You translate between worlds. A pragmatic operator you know the difference between a process that helps and a process that slows people down. You add just enough structure to make things work. Someone who thrives on the unglamorous, essential work chasing dependencies, coordinating audits, managing vendor transitions. You find satisfaction in making the machine run smoothly. Strong communication skills you keep people informed, flag risks early, and provide honest, clear updates without being chased. The ability to enhance productivity with AI tooling such as Claude and Copilot, and help drive adoption across the organisation. 🎯 Skills & Attributes Curious and kind, always thinking the best of others and doing your best to help rather than complain. Naturally In It Together you build trust across teams, default to openness, and make collaboration the path of least resistance. Never afraid to Own It you take accountability for outcomes, chase things down relentlessly, and don't let work fall through the cracks. Patient First in everything you understand that the compliance and regulatory work you coordinate directly protects patient safety. Pragmatic and organised you bring clarity to chaos without creating bureaucracy. High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a deep commitment to getting things done properly. 🧠 How We Work We empower everyone at Doccla to take ownership of their work and the company's mission. We act ethically and always put patient safety and outcomes first. To thrive here, you’ll need a can-do attitude and an action-oriented approach , along with a willingness to learn and grow through open feedback. We’re a hybrid team , with offices in London, Denmark, Germany, and Stockholm . Most of our team is London-based and enjoys in-person time at our WeWork HQ 1–3 days per week, where you’ll find great lunch, barista coffee, and a pet-friendly space. Some roles are fully remote , depending on the team and responsibilities. 🎁 What You’ll Get Annual Leave & Holidays 🌴 25 days annual leave + up to 8 UK bank holidays 🔄 Option to buy or sell holidays Remote Working 🏡 Flexible remote options 💻 Remote working stipend Financial Benefits 📈 Employee stock options 💸 4% pension on full basic pay 🛡️ 4x salary life insurance Health & Wellness 🩺 Private health insurance 🫄 4 months full pay for birthing parent* 👶🏽 4 weeks full pay for non-birthing parent* 🤒 Sick pay In-Office Perks (London HQ) 🍝 Free daily lunch 🐶 Pet-friendly office Other Benefits 📚 £500 L&D budget per person 🚲 Cycle to work scheme Via Smart Health: 🧑⚕️ 24/7 GP appointments 🧠 Mental health support 🥗 Nutrition & fitness advice 🧪 Second opinions & health checks 🏆 In Return for Your Hard Work A competitive compensation package (base + stock options), with half-year and annual performance reviews The chance to work on patient-first, system-level healthcare challenges in one of Europe’s leading healthtech companies Opportunities for growth and leadership we want you to challenge the status quo, own your impact, and continue developing, with our full support 🤝 Diversity at Doccla We embrace diversity. To build a great product, we need a team with a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. We’re committed to equal opportunity hiring regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or background. If you're excited about the role, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every point. 🔐 Safer Recruitment We are committed to safer recruitment practices.
