Job description
Looking for a hands-on role in a welcoming and well-maintained school environment in Cambridge? A well-regarded secondary school is seeking a reliable, proactive, and dedicated Caretaker to join its site team. Job Overview Our client is recruiting for a Caretaker to start ASAP. The school is known for: • A supportive and inclusive environment • Strong standards of behaviour and respect • A well-maintained and safe site The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, clean, and fully operational. The School This is a school where the site team is highly valued and plays an essential role in the day-to-day running of the school. Key responsibilities include: • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks • Ensuring health & safety compliance across the site • Conducting regular checks of fire safety equipment and systems • Supporting site security, including opening and closing procedures • Assisting with room setups and school events Staff describe the school as friendly, supportive, and well-organised.
