Job Details Food Services Assistant - ReadingJob Title: Food Service Assistant Location: Reading Contract: Permanent - Part Time 27.5 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 2:00pm Rate of Pay: 13.47 per hourAbout the roleWe are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our Sodexo team at the Johnson Matthey site in Reading.This is a varied catering role where you will help deliver a high-quality food service to employees and guests. You'll be part of a supportive team and will play an important role in ensuring our food service areas are welcoming, well-presented and operated to high standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.Key Responsibilities Deliver friendly, professional food service to employees and guestsPrepare and serve food, including salads and hot and cold dessertsMaintain clean, safe and well-presented kitchen and service areasFollow food safety, allergen, hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH proceduresComplete temperature checks, allergen records and other food safety documentationAssist with stock management and stocktakesSupport the wider catering team during busy periods and as requiredWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience within catering, hospitality or food serviceA customer-focused approach with good interpersonal and communication skillsGood knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen proceduresThe ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environmentGood organisation and time-management skillsThe ability to work independently as well as part of a teamA flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the catering operationYou'll be joining a role where high standards matter, from the quality of the food and service we provide to the cleanliness and safety of our working environment.If you have catering experience, enjoy working with people and are looking for your next opportunity within a professional workplace catering environment, we'd be pleased to hear from you.What We OfferWorking with Sodexo is more than a job it's a chance to be part of something greater.
