Job description
A well-regarded Good secondary school in Oxford is seeking a reliable and experienced Site Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of the school site from April . This is a full-time, permanent position , ideal for someone with strong facilities management experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe and efficient environment. About the School This Good-rated secondary school in Oxford is known for its supportive leadership, inclusive ethos, and well-maintained facilities. The school places high importance on providing a safe, clean, and functional environment to support teaching and learning. The site team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school on a daily basis. About the Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall management of the school site, including maintenance, health and safety, and site security. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds Managing site staff and coordinating daily tasks Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments Managing contractors and external service providers Overseeing security of the premises, including opening and closing procedures Supporting school events and operational requirements Experience and Skills The successful candidate will: Have experience in site management, facilities, or estates management Demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills Have a good understanding of health and safety regulations Be confident managing contractors and maintenance schedules Be proactive and able to respond to issues efficiently Have strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join This School Good secondary school with supportive leadership Well-organised and collaborative site team Opportunity to take ownership of site operations Stable and positive working environment Salary Competitive, depending on experience.
