Science Teacher Outstanding Secondary School in Shropshire Full Time Role Starting September An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Shropshire from September. This is a full time, permanent position, ideal for a teacher who is enthusiastic about inspiring young people and delivering engaging science lessons that develop curiosity, confidence, and academic success. About the Role The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages Three and Four, delivering engaging lessons that promote understanding, curiosity, and practical scientific skills. There may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage Five teaching depending on experience and subject specialism. You will be responsible for planning lessons that meet the needs of all learners, assessing pupil progress, and supporting pupils in preparing for examinations. The role also includes contributing to departmental planning and participating in enrichment activities that enhance the science curriculum. Key responsibilities include preparing and delivering high quality science lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their best. You will monitor progress carefully, provide meaningful feedback, and support pupils in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Maintaining a positive classroom environment and supporting the wider life of the school will also form an important part of the role. Experience and Skills The successful candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. You will have strong subject knowledge across science and the confidence to teach across Key Stages Three and Four. You should demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate pupils of varying abilities. A collaborative approach and commitment to professional development are essential.
