  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes for pupils.
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and social development through consistent support and encouragement.

Primary Teacher Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching primary-aged pupils with SEN and SEMH needs within a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, with knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional development and specialist SEND training.
  • The chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
