Job description
A high-performing and excellent secondary school in Slough is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Music ECT to join its thriving Performing Arts department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their teaching career within a well-supported and ambitious school environment. The successful Music ECT will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 and the wider co-curricular music programme. Music ECT required – September start Excellent secondary school in Slough Strong ECT programme with dedicated mentoring Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 The Role The school is looking for a motivated and creative Music ECT who is eager to develop their teaching practice and inspire students. Key responsibilities of the Music ECT include: Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 Planning and delivering engaging lessons across performance, composition, and theory Supporting students in developing practical musical skills and confidence Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback Contributing to extracurricular activities such as choirs, ensembles, and school productions The School This excellent secondary school in Slough is known for its strong academic outcomes, supportive leadership, and vibrant performing arts provision. The Ideal Candidate The successful Music ECT will: Be completing or have recently completed a PGCE with QTS in Music Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education Be eager to develop as a classroom practitioner Have excellent communication and organisational skills Be committed to supporting student engagement and achievement This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Music ECT to join an excellent secondary school in Slough and begin a successful teaching career.
