Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science (Physics) to join its committed Science department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physics specialist who is passionate about strong classroom practice, practical science and helping students develop secure understanding and exam confidence. About the Role As Teacher of Science (Physics) , you will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with a strong focus on Physics. There may be opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Secure understanding of key Physics concepts and scientific thinking Confidence with practical work and safe laboratory routines Mathematical and data-handling skills in scientific contexts Exam confidence through modelling, deliberate practice and precise feedback Students study topics including forces, energy, electricity, waves, the particle model and magnetism, building strong foundations for GCSE Science. Lessons are structured to be challenging and accessible, supporting learners with different starting points through effective scaffolding and stretch and challenge. The Science Department The Science department is supportive and well-organised, with a shared commitment to strong outcomes and consistent practice. Teachers collaborate closely on planning, share resources and use common assessment strategies to ensure students build knowledge over time and are well prepared for GCSE.
