Job description

Attendance Officer – Supportive Secondary School – Dudley (West Midlands) Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are looking to appoint a dedicated and detail-focused Attendance Officer to join a supportive secondary school in Dudley. This is a vital role within the school, focused on promoting high levels of attendance and supporting students to engage fully with their education. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring attendance data, following up absences and working closely with pastoral teams to support students and families. You will play a key role in identifying patterns of absence and implementing strategies to improve attendance. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and care. School Information: This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Good Ofsted Rated School in Dudley with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement.
