Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Teacher of Biology to join a highly regarded independent school in Lincoln . This is a superb role for a Biology specialist who enjoys academic rigour and wants to work with pupils who are motivated, inquisitive and eager to be challenged. About the Role As Teacher of Biology , you will teach across KS3–KS5 , delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that develop deep scientific understanding, strong practical competence and confident exam technique. You will deliver lessons that: Build secure understanding of core Biology concepts and scientific thinking Develop confident practical skills and safe laboratory routines Strengthen data handling, evaluation and application of knowledge Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-Level through modelling, deliberate practice and precise feedback Encourage intellectual curiosity through enrichment, wider reading and contemporary scientific context There is scope to contribute to extension and enrichment such as science clubs, Olympiad-style preparation, STEM events, lecture series or university pathway support. The Department Science is a valued and high-performing area within the school.
