We are seeking a professional, approachable, and highly organised School Receptionist to join a good-rated primary school in Liverpool. This is a key front-of-house role, providing a welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, while supporting the smooth operation of the school’s administrative functions. The successful candidate will be friendly, efficient, and able to manage a wide range of responsibilities in a busy school environment. Role Overview: As School Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the school’s reception area and providing general administrative support. Your role is vital to creating a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently and in line with school policies. Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist visitors, parents, and staff in a professional and friendly manner. Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to emails, and manage general enquiries promptly. Maintain an organised, safe, and welcoming reception area. Monitor student attendance and assist with signing in/out procedures. Support administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry. Assist with the organisation of school events, meetings, and communications. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies. Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required. Skills and Experience: Previous experience in reception, administration, or customer service, ideally within a school or educational setting. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner. Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems. Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
