Job description
A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Swindon is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher to join its successful Design & Technology department from April. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Textiles Teacher to work within a school known for its supportive environment, strong leadership, and positive student outcomes. The successful Textiles Teacher will teach Textiles across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 depending on experience. Textiles Teacher required – April start Wonderful secondary school in Swindon Teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available) Well-equipped DT department with specialist Textiles facilities The Role The school is looking for an engaging and skilled Textiles Teacher who can deliver creative and practical lessons that inspire students and develop strong technical skills. Responsibilities of the Textiles Teacher include: Teaching Textiles across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching Delivering lessons on fabric construction, garment design, and textile techniques Supporting students in developing coursework and creative portfolios Encouraging creativity, independence, and attention to detail Contributing to extracurricular activities and enrichment within DT The School This wonderful secondary school in Swindon has a strong reputation for its inclusive ethos and supportive leadership. The DT department is well resourced, with specialist Textiles rooms, sewing machines, and creative workspaces that allow students to explore a wide range of design and practical skills.
