Job description
Receptionist – Welcoming Secondary School – Milton Keynes Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale We are seeking a professional, friendly and highly organised Receptionist to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Milton Keynes. This is a key front-facing role within the school, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and students. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school reception area. You will be responsible for handling enquiries, managing incoming calls, greeting visitors and supporting general administrative functions. The role requires excellent communication skills, a calm and professional manner, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be expected to maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all interactions reflect the school’s positive and supportive ethos. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and enquiries • Manage incoming calls and correspondence • Provide administrative support to staff and leadership • Maintain visitor records and safeguarding procedures • Support general office duties as required • Ensure a welcoming and professional reception environment Requirements: • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities • Professional and friendly manner • IT proficiency including Microsoft Office • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
