Job description
A prestigious and well-established independent school in Winchester is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead its SEND provision from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SENCO to join a high-achieving school with a strong pastoral ethos and a commitment to supporting every pupil’s individual needs. The successful SENCO will oversee all aspects of SEND provision, ensuring tailored support is in place for pupils across the school. SENCO required – September start Independent school in Winchester Leadership of SEND provision across the school Small class sizes and strong pastoral support The Role The school is looking for an organised and compassionate SENCO who can lead SEND provision while working closely with staff, families, and external professionals. Key responsibilities of the SENCO include: Leading and managing SEND provision across the school Overseeing and reviewing individual support plans and learning profiles Coordinating targeted interventions and monitoring pupil progress Supporting teachers with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation Liaising with parents, carers, and external specialists Ensuring compliance with SEND best practice and school policies The School This highly regarded independent school in Winchester is known for its strong academic standards, excellent pastoral care, and holistic approach to education.
