About the Role As Cover Manager , you will be responsible for coordinating daily cover across the school and supporting wider timetabling and staffing processes where appropriate. Key responsibilities will include: Managing daily staff absence and arranging appropriate cover efficiently Coordinating cover supervisors and ensuring cover work is distributed clearly Communicating cover arrangements to staff in a timely and accurate way Maintaining accurate records of cover, absence and deployment Supporting short-term planning to minimise disruption and protect learning time Working with senior leaders to respond to last-minute changes calmly and effectively Liaising with agencies where required and supporting the onboarding of temporary staff Supporting timetable-related admin tasks depending on school systems and structure This role suits someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and can make quick decisions while remaining calm and professional.
