Job description
A high-performing and high-achieving secondary school in Poole is seeking an ambitious and creative Subject Lead of Art to lead its successful Art department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Art Teacher ready to step into leadership, or an experienced Subject Lead of Art looking to further develop their impact within a thriving school environment. The successful Subject Lead of Art will teach Art across KS3–KS5, while leading and developing the department to ensure outstanding provision and strong student outcomes. Subject Lead of Art required – September start High-achieving secondary school in Poole Leadership of a successful and creative Art department Teaching Art across KS3–KS5 The Role The school is looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking Subject Lead of Art who can lead with creativity and confidence while maintaining excellent classroom practice. Responsibilities of the Subject Lead of Art include: Leading and developing the Art curriculum across KS3–KS5 Teaching engaging and imaginative Art lessons across a range of media Driving high standards of teaching and learning within the department Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment Organising exhibitions, displays, and enrichment opportunities Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the Art department The School This high-achieving secondary school in Poole is known for its strong academic results, excellent behaviour, and commitment to student success. The Ideal Candidate The successful Subject Lead of Art will: Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification Have strong experience teaching Art across KS3–KS5 Demonstrate leadership experience or readiness to lead a subject area Be passionate about creativity and developing a vibrant Art curriculum Have excellent organisational and communication skills This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Subject Lead of Art to join a high-achieving secondary school in Poole and lead a successful and creative department.
