Job description
A welcoming and well-organised secondary school in Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Maths to join its supportive Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a school with clear routines, a well-sequenced curriculum and strong mentoring that helps ECTs grow quickly in confidence and impact. About the Role As ECT Maths Teacher , you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 , delivering engaging lessons that build students’ confidence, fluency and reasoning. You will be supported to teach a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Secure mathematical foundations through clear explanation and modelling Fluency and accuracy through purposeful practice and regular retrieval Reasoning skills through structured questioning and guided problem-solving Exam confidence through deliberate practice, feedback and consistent routines Students study a broad range of topics including number, algebra, geometry, statistics and ratio, with a focus on building secure understanding and strong GCSE preparation. ECT Support and Development The school offers a strong ECT induction programme aligned to the Early Career Framework.
