Job description
Finance Assistant – Thriving Outstanding Secondary School – Guildford, Surrey Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience School Information This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated secondary school in Guildford with a strong commitment to high standards, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The Role The school is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of the school. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial processes and effective resource management. Key Responsibilities Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments Maintain accurate financial records and databases Support budget monitoring and financial reporting Reconcile accounts and assist with audits Liaise with suppliers and internal departments Support payroll administration where required Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures Requirements Previous experience in a finance or administrative role Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good knowledge of financial systems and Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Understanding of school finance systems (desirable) Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
