Job description
A well-regarded Good-rated primary school in Bromley is seeking a reliable and proactive Site Assistant to join its facilities team with an ASAP start . This is a full-time, permanent position , ideal for someone with practical skills who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised school environment. The facilities team works closely with teaching and administrative staff to maintain the school buildings, grounds, and resources, ensuring the highest standards of safety and functionality. About the Role The successful candidate will assist the Site Manager in maintaining the school site and supporting a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting daily site maintenance and cleaning tasks Assisting with minor repairs and general upkeep of the school buildings Helping to maintain school grounds and outdoor areas Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures Supporting school events by setting up facilities and equipment Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with contractors Contributing to a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff Experience and Skills The successful candidate will: Have experience in facilities, site work, or caretaking Demonstrate practical and organisational skills Be proactive, reliable, and able to work independently Have a good understanding of health and safety requirements Be a team player with good communication skills Be flexible and willing to support various tasks as required Why Join This School Good primary school with supportive leadership Positive and collaborative staff culture Opportunity to make a real difference to the school environment Stable and friendly working environment Salary Competitive, depending on experience.
