About the Role As School Receptionist , you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and professionals. You will help ensure the school office operates effectively and that communication is professional, friendly and consistent. Key responsibilities will include: Greeting visitors and ensuring sign-in procedures are followed in line with safeguarding requirements Managing telephone calls, emails and enquiries with professionalism and discretion Supporting daily administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, scanning and record keeping Maintaining accurate information on the school’s systems (training provided where needed) Supporting safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and maintaining secure records Providing calm, professional support to pupils who come to reception during the school day Working closely with senior leaders and the wider office team to support day-to-day operations Remaining calm and solution-focused in a fast-paced school environment This role requires strong organisation, a welcoming manner and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
