Music Technician – Vibrant Secondary School – Norwich Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This is an 11 to 18 well-established, Good Ofsted Rated School in Norwich , known for its strong performing arts provision and vibrant school culture. The school encourages creativity and provides students with opportunities to engage in music through lessons, ensembles and performances. Students are enthusiastic and enjoy participating in a wide range of musical activities. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality education while supporting students’ personal development. The school benefits from well-equipped music facilities, including rehearsal spaces and performance areas. Role Overview The school is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Music Technician to support music lessons, rehearsals and performances. The successful candidate will assist with equipment, recordings and performance preparation. Key Responsibilities • Preparing music rooms and rehearsal spaces • Maintaining instruments and equipment • Supporting rehearsals and performances • Assisting with sound and recording equipment • Organising sheet music and resources • Supporting music technology use • Assisting with concerts and events • Maintaining equipment safety and organisation The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and strong technical knowledge. They will be organised, reliable and comfortable supporting practical activities. Requirements • Experience with musical instruments or audio equipment • Knowledge of recording software • Strong organisational skills • Good communication skills • Ability to support students practically Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible
