Job description
A well-regarded Good secondary school in Bolton is seeking a reliable and experienced Site Supervisor to join its facilities team with an ASAP start . This is a full-time, permanent position , ideal for someone with practical maintenance experience who can help maintain a safe, secure, and well-managed school environment. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high standards across both teaching and school operations. The site team plays a vital role in ensuring the buildings and grounds remain well maintained, safe, and ready to support the day-to-day activities of the school. About the Role The successful candidate will assist with supervising the site operations, ensuring that maintenance, security, and facilities management tasks are completed efficiently. You will support the Site Manager in maintaining the school premises and coordinating site-related activities. Key responsibilities include: Supervising daily site operations and supporting the site team Carrying out maintenance tasks and minor repairs across the school buildings and grounds Ensuring the premises remain safe, clean, and secure at all times Monitoring building systems such as heating, lighting, and security Supporting health and safety compliance, including routine checks and documentation Assisting with contractor supervision and maintenance visits Preparing spaces for school events, meetings, and activities Reporting maintenance issues and site concerns to the Site Manager Experience and Skills The successful candidate will: Have experience in site maintenance, caretaking, or facilities supervision Demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills Be confident using tools and basic maintenance equipment Understand health and safety procedures and site compliance Be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently Possess good communication and teamwork skills Why Join This School Good secondary school with supportive leadership Friendly and collaborative facilities team Stable and well-structured working environment Opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school Salary Competitive, depending on experience.
