Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the organisations reputation for excellence in cuisine and service. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise resources Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire confidence among team members Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments preferred Skilled in food production techniques and culinary innovation Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional eager to showcase their talents within a dynamic environment.
