Job description
A prestigious independent school in Somerset is seeking an outstanding Biology Lead to join its successful Science faculty from April. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Biology Lead to take on a key role within a high-performing department, delivering exceptional teaching and supporting the continued success of Biology across the school. The successful Biology Lead will teach Biology across KS3–KS5 while leading and developing the subject within the wider Science department. Biology Lead required – April start Independent school in Somerset Leadership of Biology within a high-performing Science faculty Teaching Biology across KS3–KS5 The Role The school is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Biology Lead who can provide subject leadership while delivering engaging and academically rigorous lessons. Responsibilities of the Biology Lead include: Leading the development of Biology across KS3–KS5 Teaching Biology to GCSE and A-Level students Supporting curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental strategy Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement Mentoring and supporting colleagues within the Science department Contributing to enrichment activities such as clubs, trips, and competitions The School This highly regarded independent school in Somerset is known for its strong academic standards, excellent pastoral care, and rich co-curricular programme.
