Job description
A high-achieving Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Bradford is seeking an ambitious and experienced Subject Lead of DT to join its successful Design & Technology department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Subject Lead of DT to take ownership of the subject area and drive continued excellence within a well-established and forward-thinking department. The successful Subject Lead of DT will teach Design & Technology across KS3–KS5, while leading the subject to ensure high-quality teaching, strong outcomes, and an engaging curriculum. Subject Lead of DT required – September start Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Bradford Leadership of DT within a high-performing department Teaching Design & Technology across KS3–KS5 The Role The school is looking for a dynamic and innovative Subject Lead of DT who can lead the subject with confidence while maintaining outstanding classroom practice. The successful Subject Lead of DT will play a key role in curriculum development and departmental leadership. Responsibilities of the Subject Lead of DT include: Leading and developing Design & Technology across KS3–KS5 Teaching DT, with potential specialisms in Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering Driving curriculum innovation and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the department Managing resources, including workshops, equipment, and materials The School This Outstanding secondary school in Bradford is known for its strong academic results, excellent behaviour, and supportive leadership team.
