Senior Claims handler

Kennedys is seeking an experiencedSenior Claims Handler to join our growing claims team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly regarded global law firm, handling complex and high-value claims across professional indemnity and financial lines.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of claims, delivering high-quality service to insurer clients while maintaining strong technical accuracy and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling a portfolio of professional indemnity and financial lines claims from notification through to resolution

• Providing coverage analysis and strategic advice to insurer clients

• Managing complex and high-value claims, including those involving multiple parties

• Liaising with brokers, clients, and external stakeholders

• Instructing and working closely with legal teams where appropriate

• Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and service level agreements

• Using the Electronic Claims File (ECF) system effectively for claims management and updates

About You

We are looking for a confident and technically strong claims professional with:

• Proven experience handling professional indemnity and financial lines claims

• Strong working knowledge of ECF

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• A proactive and client-focused approach
