School Administrator – Highly Organised Secondary School – Salford Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale (support staff scale depending on experience) School Information This is a well-established, Good Ofsted-rated 11–18 secondary school located in Salford, Greater Manchester . Role Overview The school is seeking a highly organised and proactive School Administrator to join the busy administrative team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to ensure that school systems, communication and daily operations run smoothly. This role requires a professional individual who can manage multiple priorities, maintain excellent organisational standards and communicate effectively with staff, parents and external partners. Key Responsibilities • Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff • Manage incoming communications including telephone enquiries, emails and visitor requests • Maintain accurate student records using the school’s management information system • Support attendance monitoring processes and assist with reporting where required • Prepare letters, reports and school documentation as needed • Assist with school events, parent evenings and internal meetings • Manage filing systems and ensure that records remain organised and accessible • Provide administrative support for safeguarding documentation in line with school policies • Coordinate internal communications across departments • Assist with exam administration when required • Ensure that confidential information is handled with professionalism and care • Maintain high standards of organisation within the school office Candidate Profile The school is looking for someone who is dependable, organised and able to work calmly in a busy school environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate: • Excellent organisational and time-management skills • Strong written and verbal communication abilities • Experience working in an administrative or office environment • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital record systems • A professional and approachable manner when interacting with parents and visitors • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure • Attention to detail when managing records and documentation • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of students • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team • Flexibility and willingness to support wider school needs when required Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate.
