Music Teacher | High-Achieving Secondary School | Hillingdon Are you an inspiring musician and educator ready to orchestrate a passion for sound and performance in a vibrant West London school? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a creative and well-resourced Expressive Arts faculty at a highly regarded secondary school in Hillingdon . This is a full-time, permanent position available for an immediate (ASAP) start , offering the chance to lead a diverse range of musical activities. Key Details: Role: Music Teacher Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Hillingdon, West London (Excellent links via Elizabeth Line/Piccadilly Line and free on-site parking) Curriculum: Music across KS3, KS4 (GCSE/BTEC), and KS5 (A-Level/RSL). Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS). The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity for a Music specialist to join a department that views the arts as essential to student development. You will have access to dedicated music suites , practice rooms, and a recording studio equipped with the latest industry-standard software (such as Logic Pro or Sibelius). Your role will involve delivering a curriculum that balances performance, composition, and listening . From introducing Year 7s to the fundamentals of rhythm and melody to guiding A-Level students through complex harmonic analysis, you will be key to maintaining the high standards of this thriving department. The School Located in the heart of Hillingdon , this school is known for its strong community spirit and its dedication to the "whole child." The Music department is a central pillar of school life, frequently organizing concerts, seasonal showcases, and collaborations with the Drama and Dance departments. The school provides a supportive environment for staff, with a focus on creative freedom and professional collaboration. We Are Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. A specialist degree in Music or Music Education . A proven ability to lead engaging practical and theoretical lessons across GCSE and A-Level . Proficiency in a primary instrument or voice, with the ability to support varied extracurricular ensembles (Choir, Orchestra, or Rock Band). Familiarity with Music Technology and its application in the classroom. The availability to start immediately or at short notice.
