Job description
A well-regarded 11–18 comprehensive school in Tunbridge Wells is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Music to join its established Music faculty. Music is a popular subject choice at GCSE, with growing interest at A-Level. The Role You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 teaching depending on experience. The curriculum is knowledge-rich and carefully sequenced, with a clear balance between physical and human Music. Your responsibilities will include: • Delivering well-structured Music lessons across KS3–KS4 • Preparing students effectively for GCSE examinations • Embedding fieldwork and case study learning into schemes of work • Contributing to departmental planning and assessment moderation • Supporting enrichment activities such as local field trips and Music clubs The department values real-world application and critical thinking, encouraging students to explore environmental, economic and social themes in depth.
