This is an exciting opportunity for someone with technical theatre experience who is passionate about supporting young people in developing their creative talents. The successful candidate will work closely with the Performing Arts department to ensure that lessons, rehearsals and performances are supported with high-quality technical expertise. The role will involve preparing technical equipment, supporting productions and helping students gain practical experience in theatre production. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support for Drama and Performing Arts lessons • Set up and maintain stage lighting, sound equipment and audio-visual systems • Assist with rehearsals and performances including school productions and events • Prepare and maintain stage sets, props and costumes • Support teachers and students in the safe use of technical theatre equipment • Manage and maintain the performing arts studio and theatre space • Operate sound and lighting systems during performances and rehearsals • Support students interested in technical theatre and stage production • Assist with the planning and organisation of performances and events • Maintain an inventory of technical equipment and ensure equipment is stored safely • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of theatre equipment when necessary • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within performance spaces School Environment The school has a strong reputation for its commitment to the performing arts and regularly hosts productions, concerts and creative showcases throughout the year.
