Job description
We are excited to be working with an Outstanding secondary school in Islington to recruit a high-calibre and enthusiastic HR Assistant. This full-time, permanent position is available for an immediate start and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful team and contribute to the development of consistently outstanding quality of service. We are looking for an individual who can provide meticulous administrative support, leading to a streamlined and professional HR function. About the School This school is a fantastic place to work, recently maintaining its 'Outstanding' rating in every category. As an HR Assistant, you will join a supportive leadership team and benefit from superb facilities in a scholarly, well-ordered environment. The school is in close proximity to major London Underground stations, making it highly accessible for commuting. Responsibilities Support the HR Manager with daily administrative tasks, including recruitment and onboarding. Ensure meticulous maintenance of the Single Central Record (SCR) and safeguarding compliance. Act as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for staff and prospective employees. Collaborate with the school office team to maintain high standards and expectations. Participate in a strong culture of professional development to continuously refine your practice. Qualifications and Experience Previous experience in an administrative or junior HR role (school experience highly desirable). Proficiency in ICT and school management systems (SIMS/Arbor). Meticulous attention to detail and high standards of professional conduct. Must have the right to work in the UK. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: £32,000 – £36,000 ( negotiable for the right candidate ). Full-time, permanent position with an immediate start. Dedicated member of the SLT responsible for staff wellbeing. Openness to consideration of flexible working requests.
