Job description
A well-resourced secondary school in Gloucester is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic DT ECT to join its Design & Technology department from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their teaching career in a school that offers excellent facilities, strong mentoring, and a supportive department committed to developing new teachers. About the role The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop creativity, technical understanding, and practical design skills. As an ECT, you will benefit from a structured induction programme, experienced mentoring, and regular professional development opportunities designed to support your early teaching career. The role will involve: Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 Delivering practical lessons that develop creativity and problem-solving skills Supporting GCSE Design & Technology coursework and projects Encouraging students to develop design thinking and technical skills Contributing to the development of the DT curriculum You will work alongside experienced colleagues who will support your development and help you build confidence in the classroom.
