As part of a major investment programme across the Acorn Pubs estate, The Akeman Inn will undergo a significant refurbishment and relaunch, emerging almost as a brand-new pub. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Deputy Manager to support the GM in leading the pub from the very beginning and help shape the future success of this beautiful business.

The Akeman Inn enjoys a fantastic location, a stunning setting, and enormous untapped potential. With substantial investment being made in the site, we're looking for a Deputy Manager who can see the possibilities, build a high-performing team, and establish the pub as a destination venue from day one of the relaunch.

About you...

As Deputy Manager you'll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You'll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers as well as helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You'll be drawing on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on ensuring that things run smoothly.
