Job description
A well-established independent school in Wandsworth is seeking a professional and personable School Receptionist to join their front-of-house team ASAP . This is a full-time, permanent position acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students. • School Receptionist – full-time, permanent • Independent 11–18 school in Wandsworth • ASAP start • Competitive independent sector salary About the Role The School Receptionist plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and professional reception environment. You will manage daily front desk operations while ensuring safeguarding and visitor protocols are followed at all times. Key responsibilities include: • Greeting visitors, parents, and external stakeholders • Managing incoming calls and email enquiries • Overseeing visitor sign-in procedures in line with safeguarding policies • Supporting attendance and pupil enquiries • Assisting with administrative tasks and internal communications • Coordinating meeting room bookings and school events The Ideal Candidate • Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Professional appearance and manner • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage confidential information • Experience within a school environment desirable About the School This independent Wandsworth school is known for its strong academic reputation, structured environment, and high standards of professionalism.
