Job description
A welcoming and well-established secondary school in Southampton is seeking a professional, approachable, and highly organised School Receptionist to join their front-of-house team. This is a full-time, permanent position starting ASAP and offers the opportunity to be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. About the Role As the School Receptionist, you will manage the reception area efficiently, providing a warm and professional welcome while ensuring that enquiries are handled promptly. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and supporting the administrative team in a busy school environment. Key Responsibilities • Greeting visitors and managing sign-in/sign-out procedures • Answering and directing telephone calls and email enquiries • Supporting attendance procedures and safeguarding protocols • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries • Assisting with school events, meetings, and parent evenings • Providing general administrative support to staff and leadership • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies About the School This Southampton secondary school is recognised for its strong academic standards, excellent pastoral care, and supportive staff culture.
