Job description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Maths ECT to join a thriving and well-regarded mixed secondary school in Reading . This is a permanent, full-time position to start in January 2026 . • Maths ECT required on a full-time basis • Outstanding school in Reading • Excellent Maths ECT opportunity within a successful and well-resourced department The school is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Maths ECT who can teach across KS3 and KS4 , with the possibility of KS5 for the right candidate. You will join a well-established, forward-thinking Mathematics Department that prides itself on outstanding teaching, strong teamwork, and exceptional student outcomes. Experience and Qualifications • Maths ECT with the ability to teach KS3 & KS4 • Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for Mathematics • A formal teaching qualification with QTS • A reflective, positive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching • Legal ability to work in the UK School Information This is an Outstanding mixed secondary school educating over 1,450 students , with consistently high exam results and a strong reputation across Berkshire. Mathematics is a flagship department, with results well above the national average and increasing uptake at A-Level. In 2024, 79% of students achieved grades 9–4 in Mathematics , reflecting strong teaching and high student engagement.
