Job description
Maths ECT required January 2026 Good mixed secondary school based in Cambridge Maths ECT to join a well-structured department with excellent induction support Our Client is seeking a Maths ECT to teach KS3–KS4, with opportunities to also support KS5 depending on interest and training. The school places significant emphasis on mentoring early career teachers, providing detailed induction pathways and subject-specific coaching. School Information This 11–18 school serves approximately 1,400 students and consistently achieves strong mathematics results at both GCSE and A Level. The Maths department is exceptionally well resourced, offering digital visualisers, interactive tools, high-quality textbooks and structured schemes of work designed to support ECTs as they build confidence and subject fluency. The department also encourages collaborative planning and shared assessment to ensure consistency for pupils. Teachers describe the school as academically ambitious yet deeply supportive of staff, particularly those in training. ECT timetables include reduced teaching load, regular feedback sessions, peer observations and access to department-wide CPD delivered by experienced practitioners. Behaviour systems are robust and consistently upheld, creating a calm and orderly learning environment where new teachers feel secure and supported.
