Job description
Start Date: January 2026 Location: Basildon, Essex About the Role A fantastic opportunity for a diligent and experienced School Administrator to join a progressive, well-regarded mixed secondary school in Basildon . The successful candidate will be the central point of contact for the school office, providing crucial administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), staff, students, and parents. This is a vital role that ensures the smooth and efficient running of the school’s daily functions. Key Responsibilities Manage the school’s reception and general inquiries (phone, email, in-person). Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and SLT, including diary management and report preparation. Maintain accurate student and staff records using the school's Management Information System (MIS). Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, adhering to GDPR guidelines. Assist with school finance tasks, including processing invoices and managing petty cash (training provided if necessary). Organise school events, meetings, and parent evenings. Oversee the management of school supplies and resources. About the School This large, inclusive secondary school has approximately 1,200 students and a Good Ofsted rating.
