Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dependable and hardworking Assistant Site Manager to join a large, well-regarded secondary academy in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for an individual with practical abilities and strong organisational skills. About the School This Birmingham academy is known for its inclusive ethos, excellent behaviour and modern facilities. The school values its premises team highly, recognising the essential part they play in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Staff enjoy strong support from leadership and clear development pathways within the operations team. Role Responsibilities • Assisting the Site Manager with daily school operations • Conducting routine maintenance, minor repairs and safety checks • Supporting site security, opening/closing procedures and inspections • Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the school buildings • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements Experience and Qualifications • Experience in caretaking, maintenance or facilities desirable • Good understanding of health & safety regulations • Strong practical/DIY skills • Reliable, punctual and proactive Salary Paid to local government support staff scale.
