Job description
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Nottingham is seeking a reliable and hands-on Site Manager to join the school as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive primary setting where maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented site is central to the school’s success. The school is proud of its strong relationships with families and its well-maintained facilities. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the premises. Key Responsibilities Managing the opening and closing of the school site Overseeing general maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep Conducting regular health & safety inspections and compliance checks Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs Liaising with contractors and monitoring quality of works Ensuring the site remains clean, secure, and safe at all times Supporting school events, deliveries, and operational needs Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a school site or premises role Good knowledge of health & safety procedures and compliance requirements Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills The ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment A dependable, organised, and proactive approach Strong communication skills and a professional manner This primary school in Nottingham offers a supportive leadership team and a strong sense of community. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for young pupils.
