Job description
A well-established 11–16 secondary school in Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of Mathematics to join its thriving department. The school has a strong reputation locally for its clear behaviour systems, calm learning environment and structured support for new teachers. Mathematics is a core strength within the school, with improving GCSE outcomes and a committed team of experienced subject specialists who are passionate about mentoring and professional development. The Opportunity This role is ideal for an ECT who wants to develop their classroom confidence within a stable and well-organised Maths department. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, following a carefully sequenced curriculum designed to build mathematical fluency and reasoning skills. As part of your ECT induction, you will receive: • A reduced timetable • A dedicated subject mentor • Weekly coaching sessions • Structured observation and feedback cycles • Access to whole-school and subject-specific CPD The department has a strong track record of successfully supporting ECTs through their induction years.
