PE ECT – Outstanding Mixed School in Croydon (January Start) Location: Croydon, London Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale on a direct contract An Outstanding 11–18 mixed secondary school in Croydon is seeking a motivated and energetic PE ECT to join their PE & Sports Department from January 2026. About the School The school is widely recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong student outcomes, and excellent staff support. ECTs benefit from personalised mentoring, frequent training opportunities, and a strong focus on wellbeing and work–life balance. About the PE Department The PE Department is highly successful, offering a rich and varied programme including athletics, football, netball, cricket, gymnastics, trampolining, basketball, and outdoor education. The school has extensive sports facilities including sports halls, pitches, fitness suites, and access to external venues. The department is committed to promoting teamwork, wellbeing, and competitive success across all year groups. The Role • Teach PE across KS3–KS4. • Lead or assist in sports clubs, fixtures, and extracurricular competitions. • Support the development of a diverse and inclusive PE curriculum. Requirements • PGCE (PE) with QTS awarded by January 2026. • Strong sporting background and coaching experience. • A passion for promoting health, fitness, and physical confidence.
