Job description
A forward-thinking and technology-rich secondary school in Redbridge is seeking a highly organised IT Technician to join its technical support team from January 2026 . This role is ideal for someone with strong IT knowledge and a commitment to ensuring smooth-running digital systems across the school. IT Technician required from January 2026 Redbridge-based school with strong digital learning platforms. You will provide first-line support, maintain devices, manage helpdesk requests and support AV and classroom equipment. The role contributes directly to ensuring reliable IT access for staff and students. Experience and Qualifications Experience in IT support, ideally in an educational or multi-user environment. Knowledge of Windows devices, networking basics, printers and classroom AV systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise queries effectively. Understanding of safeguarding and data security in an IT context. Willingness to support scheduled upgrades, device rollouts and hardware maintenance. School Information The school operates a large digital infrastructure including modern computer suites, cloud-based systems, interactive whiteboards, printers and mobile devices. The IT team is friendly, collaborative and highly valued across the school. Technicians benefit from ongoing training, access to courses and opportunities to specialise in network support, MIS systems or classroom technologies. Students behave respectfully and use digital tools effectively as part of everyday learning. Staff are supportive and rely on the IT team to maintain essential systems and hardware.
