Job description
Location: Maidstone, Kent Salary: MPS/UPS Contract Type: Full-time We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Maidstone . This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed practitioner to work with pupils in Key Stage 2, helping them consolidate their learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across the Year 4 curriculum, creating engaging and challenging lessons that inspire curiosity and promote a love of learning. Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and presentation will be essential, while ensuring that all pupils feel supported and included. You will work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure continuity of learning and progression across the year group. Assessment will be used effectively to monitor progress and inform planning, and you will contribute to whole-school initiatives and curriculum development. This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners . ECTs will benefit from structured mentoring and professional development, while experienced teachers will have opportunities to lead initiatives and share good practice across the school. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 4 curriculum Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL Promote high standards of behaviour and personal development Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals Contribute to the wider life of the school The successful candidate will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally Year 4 Excellent classroom management and organisational skills Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Commitment to professional development We offer: A supportive leadership team and collaborative staff culture Well-resourced classrooms and learning environments Opportunities for CPD and career progression Motivated, enthusiastic pupils To be considered for this position, please forward an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
